I have loved that as we have been Dating America how quickly we’ve been able to size up a town. Eating at the Third Street Cafe was a perfect introduction to our new, temporary, home. The Cafe is a co-op. YES! The local co-op grocery store expanded their efforts to include a restaurant, too. The restaurant sources everything they can from local farmers, almost all in the Skagit Valley. The food was delicious. I had an avocado/egg toast and Cas had the pastrami on rye. He says that the meat was juicy without getting the bread soggy–a rare feat. The sauce had a not-too-sweet-tang that he liked. We hope to go back for dinner and enjoy a glass of wine from their three page list!
