Before Dating America, we lived in New Mexico for 2.5 years. Colorado always seemed so close, and yet so far away.
We are so excited to kick off our Dating Spree in Colorado. Because of that, we need your input, tips, ideas, suggestions, and must-dos for Colorado stat. Pronto. Where should we go? What should we do?
And, importantly, what should we drink? Here’s where we are planning to go so far:
And we are super excited for the gorgeous National Parks in Colorado! Seriously, people. Is there any mountain beauty more beautiful than some of these Colorado Parks?
Curious if anyone has intel out there about the Dark Sky Site around Georgetown, Colorado? Sounds pretty awesome, but we’ve never known anyone to actually go. Have you gone? We are also looking forward to music at Red Rocks.
Our nerdy research also tells us that the iconic (infamous might be a better word in this case) Colorado foods are Lamb Chops and Rocky Mountain Oysters. Rocky Mountain Oysters. I mean, we will try anything. But who was the clever one to come up with that misleading name? And where should we go to get the best of the best bull testicles?
We promise, we are keeping an open mind about where we might live. We’ve been vibing on Boulder, though. How could we not vibe on the Happiest City in America?! It is said to be America’s Foodiest Town and has a whopping 24 breweries (and counting). Did we mention the Farmer’s Market? Plus, all that hiking. We’re swooning over here. Hello, Boulder. We like you. We really like you (already!).
Oh Durango!
We shared six perfect days and nights with Durango. We rolled into town on a Sunday evening and wandered down historic Main Street. We stopped in for a beer at […]

Our date with Breckenridge was short-lived. We went to Breckenridge Brewery and to Broken Compass and enjoyed walking along the river path. So, why isn’t Breckenridge for us? We are […]
A date with Vail
Our date with Vail was like a date with someone out of our league. But, with someone in a league that we do not want to be in. It is […]
Glenwood Springs
We initially planned to spend two nights in Glenwood Springs but ended up spending about twenty four hours there, realized that we’d experienced the best of Glenwood Springs, and decided […]
Grand Junction, we took a turn
On an epic tour of Western Colorado, we stopped in Grand Junction. We were sizing it up for livability and so were eager for our date! We had not heard […]
Fruita, we walked
We took a little jaunt over to Fruita, CO, and, folks, this is the first date we’ve been on where we walked out the door mid-date! Perhaps Fruita was a […]
